Liz got back last night from three weeks in Asia. Because her sleep is a little off, she was awake at 4:30 this morning. I was awake at the same time (for no good reason). Around 5:30 I walked past her bedroom on my way back from getting a bowl of cereal (pre-breakfast breakfast) and I heard her say "Heather?" with this tone of voice that only she and I think is funny and have been doing for years. I poked my head in and we laughed big time about the ridiculousness of the hour...and then hung out for the next two hours...in the wee hours of the morning.
And that's why she's one of my best friends. Ever.
